Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Import Entries Operator to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and facilitating smooth customs clearance processes. - Prepare and process import documentation using transportation management systems, EDI, and AS400 platforms.
- Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant legal requirements.
- Manage data entry related to import shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to facilitate import operations.
- Utilise CRM software for lead generation, tracking import activities, and maintaining client relationships.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers, carriers, and customs officials to optimise costs and service levels.
- Monitor supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to B2B sales protocols.
- Assist in the management of logistics workflows related to import entries and coordinate with sales management teams as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of import transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in transportation management systems, EDI, and AS400 platforms.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and B2B sales operations.
- Experience working with CRM software for lead generation and customer relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with partners and authorities.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations pertinent to imported goods.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and their integration into supply chain workflows.
