Nightshift Yard Operative

We are currently seeking dedicated Yard Operatives to join our clients team based in Felixstowe, they are a leading shipping and logistics company, this is a great 'foot in the door' opportunity to work with a company who truly value leveling up their staff. As a Yard Operative the overall purpose of the role is to offload containers coming in via shunter drivers.

Duties to include but not be limited to:

• Drive the top lift and tug on the night shift and unload shunters coming in
• Manage container stacks in the yard in terms of clients and weather
• Move trailers across the site in line with warehouse requirements
• Set up the bays with laden containers reader for the day shift the following day.

Experience and Skills required:

• Management experience is desirable
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to follow instructions and tasks given daily, adhering Health and Safety Procedures

This position is working 5pm-3:30am. Our client aim to take you on as a permanent member of staff once you have gained the skills to manage the yard on your own initiative each night. With this being the case you must be willing to advance your skills and grow alongside the company, staying for the longevity.
