We currently have the pleasure of recruiting on behalf of our outstanding client who are based in Creeting St Peter who are currently seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Operator on a Temp to Perm basis.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating counterbalance forklifts to efficiently move, load, and unload materials while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
The job:
- Monday to Friday 6am-3pm Shift Pattern
- £12.00ph Weekly Pay whilst working through ourselves
Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic repairs as necessary.
- Maintain an organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage during movement and storage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, particularly counterbalance models.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
