Welcome to Taylor Whitmore,
We currently have an exciting position available with our client based in Colchester, who are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant with an in date Counterbalance FLT License to join their team.
Our client are a leading name in the specialty ingredient industry, committed to delivering excellence in their products and services. As part of their dedicated team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of their warehouse, maintaining high standards or quality and safety.
Purpose and Objectives of the Role:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of their warehouse operations, handling both incoming and outgoing goods with precision and care. Your primary focus will be on maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to uphold their commitment to quality.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming goods
- Sampling goods for laboratory tests as required
- Ensuring proper storage of goods in designated locations
- Preparation of sales orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and yard area
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Education: GCSE standard or equivalent
- Counterbalance Forklift License
- Dangerous goods training
Skills:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in using a variety of IT packages
Experience:
- Previous experience in stock control
- Knowledge of Fragrance and Flavour industries preferred
- Familiarity with Aroma Chemicals and Essential Oils would be advantageous
This position is temp to perm, after a successful 12 weeks through ourselves our client look to offer you a permanent contract. Your working hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with a pay rate of £12.31ph.
