Welcome to Taylor Whitmore,

We currently have an excellent opportunity with one of our outstanding clients based on the outskirts of Stowmarket. They are a leading manufacturer of medical furniture and ergonomic seating who are dedicated to providing high-quality products and services to their customers. They are currently seeking a logistics coordinator to join their dynamic team.

As the logistics coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for the drivers and customers, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of their products across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule drivers' working days using route planning tools.
  • Coordinate drivers' servicing schedules and confirm bookings with customers.
  • Maintain contact with deliveries and liaise with customers to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Book orders via courier, arrange collections from freight companies, and handle booking collections.
  • Update Sage with delivery details and create despatch notes.
  • Create commercial invoices for export orders.
  • Update the production schedule spreadsheet and escalate issues when required.
  • Answer telephone queries regarding delivery and products.
  • Create pack lists.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required, including sending postal items.

Required Experience & Attributes:

Essential:

  • Experience in UK & Export planning.
  • Proficiency in planning using Google Maps for routing.
  • Previous experience in a transport office.
  • Methodical approach to tasks.
  • Clear and precise communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a good telephone manner.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Sage 200.
  • Warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Your own transport is essential due to the location.
