Welcome to Taylor Whitmore,
We currently have an excellent opportunity with our ever-growing client based in Eye, Suffolk who are currently seeking a Production Operative to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
This wonderful family run manufacturer had organically grown over the years to a medium size business, and due to an expansion in their warehouse they are looking to grow the team. Everyone you meet is super friendly and genuinely enjoy working for a company that has high standards all-round.
The role & requirements:
- Complete all general warehouse duties required when you have received appropriate training deemed necessary by line management
- Able to competently select and fit correct screens for production schedule
- Competently follow all QA procedure and complete needed paperwork
- Assist in forklift duties if you have a license
- Assist the Extruder Operator to achieve QA specification for size, shape, moisture content and bulk density daily
- Assist the Extruder Operator to operate the Extruder and oversee the Production Line particularly in the absence of the Team Leader and/or their deputy
- Report any defects or issues to Team Leader or Factory Manager
- Take samples and act in accordance with the results
- Competently assist on the Bagging Line
- Select correct ingredients for production schedule
- To gain an retain product specific knowledge and remain up to date with new product information
- Able to competently carry out the Grinding Production process
- Able to competently unload Goods In vehicles (Raw Materials/ Bulk Lorries
- Maintain good housekeeping around the warehouse
- Please note this role is NOT just operating the FLT if you hold a license, 80% of your duties will be assisting around the warehouse so you must have a flexible attitude towards work
- Working Hours Monday-Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm and 9am-5pm
Our client will support you whilst working in a temporary contract with ourselves, but please only apply if you are looking for a permanent position as they tend to offer permanent contracts after week 12 (subject to performance and head count availability).
Having an FLT license is advantageous but not essential.
